Sew

Ok ok i know i have left you all wondering which magazine and what i was on about but here goes



there is a lovely little feature about me in the new issue of Sew magazine

now i have to say i have been really excited about this as it is a huge thing for me first to be asked out of nowhere and to know that all my hard work , tears and stresses have been worth it !!

I was also a lucky girl yesterday or more to the point my heart brooch was as it was featured on cuteable ( click on the photo )



I am still way behind with other things as i am still unpacking boxes and cleaning up dust and dirt but we are getting there oh and there's the back to school panic shopping , finding out on Thursday the school bus passes forms hadn't arrived , you know all the usual oh and we are still without the car !!!

Anyway i have a stack of things to do today so i will dash for now but i just wanted to let you know about the magazine x x x

birthday

So to celebrate Kitty's birthday i am having an 8 hour sale .... lots of brooches in the sale
including the new silky brooches x x x

Pretty mess

Yes as i am sewing like a mad thing ok well except today as i feel crappy but i shall have to go do some sewing tonight !
So while i pootle along sewing pretty things if i do say so myself ;0) i have noticed i have made some pretty piles of mess so i thought i would share them with you as nothing else much has happened here apart from sewing .. oooooh the excitement of the life of a wahm !!


No but really sometimes people say to me your soooo lucky to be a stay at home mum oh and i get called a lady of leisure too ... my arse is this leisurely !!
Cooking , cleaning ok not so much of that but there's washing and folding the odd bit of ironing and chucked in there is some swimming , baking cakes and
if i am a good girl there's sewing yay !!


So yes i am lucky and i do know it too , sorry that reads a bit arsey !! What i mean is yes being a wahm is great but i do work hard as well ... sorry just nipped off and baked 24 cupcakes and cooked rhubarb for tea tomorrow ... mean while back at the castle life goes on as normal !



Just a little bit added on here ... i have to say that my life is quite laid back ! I do have to work as the only wage earner in the family but my house is not as tidy as maybe it could be as you may have guessed from my previous post !!
I don't want you to think i am having a moan here its just my daily or should i say twice weekly
ramblings with a bit of a look at wahmhood !!

Sunday

So its Sunday its car boot day or not as it seems .... as soon as car boot season starts so does rainy Sunday season !!
We packed the car with *quality items ( * crap) , went to bed early , set the alarm and woke to rain !!! So we unpacked the car and tried to re-home it all , well it came out of the house why wont it all fit back in ????
So instead we trundled off to Stockport to buy new shoes for eldest girlie .
Now as you may know shopping is not my fave thing especially with 4 kidlets in tow but today we managed to get shoes in only the second shop we went in , Belle and Boo postcards and Sew hip mag in Borders !!
Does anyone else buy Sew hip ? Do you like it ? I wasn't going to buy it this month but it some how came home with me again !!

I had decided not to buy as many mags this next few months but this week i have been bad and bought 3 ...... ok one had free body shop butter on it and one was Coast for Eldest girlie as she wants to be a marine biologist and there was a feature she wanted to read
( she is studying triple science plus extra science in Sept ) and she loves anything at all to do with the sea not sure were she gets that from !!

In hobbycraft we got cheap ribbon only 49p a roll and some more felt only 29p a piece . Sorry no photo's its all still in the bag waiting to be put away !


I am going to spend most of tomorrow making more of these in different sizes for the summer fairs and for the website , i love this fabric in fact it is one of my most loved fabrics ever .

Problems

Hi everyone i am having a few problems getting into my website emails as the bliddy kidlets have broke my puter and i am having to use DP's sparkly laptop oh the misery !! No actually its a problem as all my settings are on it and i am having a few problems getting Mr site to work on the laptop !!

So if you need to contact me about anything on the website please use my bloggy email addy !!
This also means i cannot get the things done i had wanted to on my website .... so much for a bit of a rest eh !!!!!

Tea break

Well this week has flown by already its Thursday

i just haven't stopped this week with himself away till late most days and the kidlets taking advantage of me not yet being able to be in 3 places at once !!
We have had little fallouts to huge big dramatic fallouts and a trip to the hospital thrown in for good measure .... i have basically run the house by my lonesome this week and i tell you its bloody tiring.

The trip to the hospital was for eldest girlie again she has managed to hurt her toe so her running is suffering and so are my ears from her pleading that it isn't that painful and she has run before with poorly toes !!!! She is fine but you try to get a very sporty 14 year old to sit still .

The sewing is ticking along and today i finally finished this little number
i just need to get the pants done to match and then its going to be on the website !


One of the best things we have got done is the garden ok well we have started the garden

so now my teabreak is over its back to work

Oh and don't forget the things are on Ebay and i will be listing lots of fabric this weekend
