Times are changing here
i have made the huge decision not to go down the wholesale route anymore
i may take on the odd new stockist
but for now i am sticking with the fab shops and websites i have already!
Why you ask?
Well i don't want to sit churning out the same design all day long
i don't have a load of staff to do all those other jobs
i cut, sew, make up, finish, package and all the rest myself
and when you have close to 15 stockists plus a website then that's too much.. for me anyway!
I have four children at home that struggle to see me some days
i have friends i never see because i am too busy
i missed out on family and school celebrations because of deadlines!
I don't want to sound a misery or sound ungrateful
the customers i have are wonderful and i love them all
they understand how life can kick you in the chops sometimes
especially when you have a family
and as you know the past year has been a bitch
(sorry no other way to put it) for us as a family!
So there you go
this is also a step towards new designs from me
for my website which is really taking off finally and
hopefully fingers crossed the new premises one day maybe

I'm sure you feel much better and relieved now that decision has been made.
I do, i felt overwhelmed by it all and i realised you cannot do it all!
Good idea, I think whole of the samething does just not suit a one woman, if yes you had staff then a different story. Maybe oneday... Kxx
I know exactly what you are saying hun, I get offers for The Felt Fairy and I feel a bit of an oddity when I say 'we don't really want to get any bigger'! Great decision x
Huge decision but it sounds like the best one to me :-) You get to create things whilst enjoying it and get family and fun time back. :-)
it was a difficult choice to make as i still have to make a living doing this but you have to do what is right for yourself!
